Coach Terrace Dunbar is in his second season as a Varsity coach assigned to the defensive line. He has significantly contributed to the Hurricane program for five seasons, serving as the head coach for the freshman team and as a JV assistant coach.

A 1992 graduate of Manatee High School, Coach Dunbar played on the 1991 nationally-ranked Hurricanes team as a running back. His name is recorded among the list of 1,000-yard rushers, playing alongside notable teammates Tommie Frazier, Tyrone Williams, and Shevin Wiggins.

Coach Dunbar played two seasons as a defensive back at Dodge City Community College, earning 1st Team All-Jayhawk Conference honors and finishing second in the conference for pass breakups. His performance earned him a scholarship to play Division I football at the University of Louisiana Monroe, where he played as a starting cornerback for two years and earned First Team Independent honors both years. He made notable game-saving plays against the University of Kentucky and Mississippi State and was named MVP of the defense in his senior year.

Coach Dunbar holds a Bachelor's Degree in Public Relations and Marketing from the University of Louisiana Monroe, a Master's in Organizational Leadership from Argosy University, and is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Organizational Leadership.

He is a proud father of four children: Deterrace, twin girls Iyanna and Kiana, and his youngest daughter Terryn.
